Construction Management

Challenge: To manage the construction and commercial aspect of a zero carbon industrial unit to achieve BREEAM “Outstanding” certification.

Solution: Alan and Peter were instrumental in the micro management of all aspects of the project. This included the design, selection of subcontractors and general day to day running of the project in order to complete a pioneering, sustainable industrial business park. This was the first zero energy cost industrial business park in the country to be built with an “Outstanding” BREEAM certification.

Locker Room – Construction

Challenge: To provide new shower and lockers facilities for railway station staff by replacing existing offices. Restricted access through public thoroughfare. Provision of services and drainage. Condition of existing floor and problematic levels.

Solution: Supply and setup a completely new water, drainage and electrical supplies. The material deliveries were managed outside peak pedestrian times. Strip out the existing offices and build the whole locker and shower from scratch. Floor completely levelled and re-boarded in new timber.

Glazed external façade and ventilation grilles

External Façade Work – Property Care

Challenge: This was a high level job that required extreme care and to be performed by a team of professionals that was well trained and comfortable to working at heights. The team had to overcome restricted access and a public thoroughfare. Inspect and clean external glazed façade as well as providing new mesh to high level ventilation / cooling grilles.

Solution: Our Property care specialist team were utilised to select the right accessing system and segregate public and staff. This work was performed over a holiday period, with very short notice. Our team managed to complete the whole job on time with great levels of satisfaction to all parties involved as well as adjacent businesses. There was absolutely no disruption to the station, public or surrounding businesses and an Incident free Health and Safety.
